More 120,000 US Dollars from UAE Embassy for iftar and Zakatul fitr in Tanzania
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates(UAE)in the country through Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Hahyan, Sharjah Charity Internation and Red Cresent organizations will use more $120,000 to provide Itfal and Zakatul Fitr to seven regions of the country during this holly months of Ramadan.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam on behalf of UEA ambassador in the country H.E Ambassador Mallalla Mubarak Al Ameir and his second secretary, Mohammed Obaid Salem AlZaabi,the embassy accountant Abdallah Ahmedina said the money will benefit seven regions of the country, he named the regions as Dar es Salaam, Iringa, Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Pwani, Dodoma and Morogoro .
Ahmedina was speaking this when he donated Iftal at Al Makbool Mosque in Msasani, Dar es Salaam.
He explained that his embassy gave the money to the mentioned regions and that the remaining money will be given to, widows, orphans , disabled and other less privileged people during Zakatul Fitr cerebrations.
Ahmedina said this is not the first time for his embassy to provide Iftal and Zakatul Fitr and promised that his embassy is committed to continue providing Iftal and Zakatul Fitr to all Muslims in the country during the period of Ramadan .
"Its our tradition to give people Iftal and also zakatufitr,and this year we will use $122,000 for that purpose , this money has come from organizations which are Sheikh Khalifa ($80,000), Red Cresent ($36,000)and Sharjah Charity (6,000),"he said
On his speech , Al Makbool mosque clergy, Sheikh Mussa Abdallah,thanked the embassy for the donation which he said will help fasting Muslims during this holly months of Ramadan.
"There are some muslims who are fasting but do not have food for iftal , we thanked the Embassy of United Arab Emirates (UAE)and the other three organizations for the donation which we strong believe will help many Muslims” he said
